Importing and exporting from Garmin
Garmin ADM format routes and waypoints can be imported into PCPLOTTER
and exported in formats to suit plotters using Navionics charts cards.
Converting Garmin ADM files for use in NavigationPLANNER or PC Plotter
You
can convert the routes and waypoints from a Garmin ADM file to a file
that can be read by NavigationPLANNER or PC Plotter. Follow the
instructions below.
1) Click the following link

or load your browser and enter the URL in the address bar.
2) Click “Download for Windows” on the Garmin web page.
3) Follow the instructions to install the product “HomePort”.

Once the Homeport product has finished installing, click the Windows
start button, find the product “Homeport” (under the start menu
directory for “Garmin”)
5) Accept the various startup requests and this should then show the world map.
6) Click “File”, “Import into my collection”. Select the directory where your .ADM file is location and import the data.
7) You can now use the roller wheel on your mouse to zoom into the area where the route is located.

You now need to export the data and to do this click “File”, “Export My
collection” (or “Export selection” if you want to only export a
selected range or data).
9) At the bottom of the file dialogue asking
you where to export the file to, make sure that the pull down box for
“Save as type” is set to “GPS eXchange Format (*.gpx)”. Select the
directory and file name for the gpx file you want to export to,
remembering which directory the file is stored in. Click “Save” button.
10) Exit Homeport.
11) Start NavigationPLANNER or PC Plotter.
12) Click the acceptance screen.
13) Click “Route” on the menu bar at the top.
14) Click the “Library button”.
15) On the Route Library dialog, click “Load route from individual route file”.

In the bottom right hand corner of the file dialog, pull down the file
types and choose “Raymarine a,c,eSeries Route files (*.gpx)”
17) Use the file dialog to find the correct directory where you exported the GPX file to and select the file for loading.
18) Once you have selected the file, click the “Open” button on the bottom right of the dialog.
19) This should now show the route/routes that have been loaded.
